PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) established in the year 1999 and approved by AICTE and Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to Anna University.It is certified by NBA and ISO9001:2000 and an NAAC ACCREDITED INSTITUTION.






The PGPCET is founded by Dr.Palani G.Periasamy,who served as full –tenure Professor in America and based on his experience in his wide true of the world, he became an entrepreneur. PGP group consist Le Royal Meridien at Chennai, another five star hotel near completion at coimbatore, three sugar factories at vasudevanallur tirunelveli, sankarapuram and polur thiruvannamalai, DHarani Finance Limited Chennai,Dharani Travels Chennai and a chain of educational institutions in tirunelveli and namakkal district. The founder aims at fostering an environment of intellectual vigor, excitement of discovery. Also social commitment through quality education, disciplined life and dedication and to make the PGP Educational Instuitions emerge as modern “Gurukulam”of the millennium. PGPCET has since its inception set high but achievable goals. We are committed to generate, disseminate and preserve knowledge and work with the like minded to focus this knowledge to cope up with world’s great challenges. We strive to provide an academically rewarding environment by exposing our students to quality education. The focus always is “Student must learn”.


LIBRARY:





OUR LIBRARY is an USER – FRIENDLY LIBRARY with well designed set up consisting of a comprehensive collection of valuable books, Indian and International Journals, e- resources, Project Reports, Back Issues of Periodicals, Press Clippings and Non-Book Materials to impart the highest quality to the cause of education, especially Technical Education. The Library contributes its efforts in improving the standards of teaching-learning in the campus and it caters to the needs of students and the faculty.
Our Central Library is housed in a spacious area of 4000 sq.ft. The stock as well as issue and return and renewal are all fully computerized with Bar-Coding provision and the transactions all are automated. Our library has got a seating capacity of 12seats, out of which 60 are air conditioned.
