College of Engineering, Chengannur is a premier institute of engineering that has carved a niche for itself in the field of technical education in a very short span of time. Since its inception in 1993, under the aegis of IHRD, the college has made its presence felt in the technical horizon of the state.  It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT).


Being located in Chengannur town, Alleppey district the college has got access to all means of transport, communication and lodging facilities.  It was one among the 5 engineering colleges in Kerala selected by Govt. of India for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP).The courses offered are designed to cater to the industry’s urgent demand for skilled professionals and with a vision to create engineers having the drive, skill, and confidence to become the pioneers of tomorrow.

Mahendra Engineering College is the founding Engineering Institution of Mahendra Educational Trust (MET). The College was started in 1995 with three branches of engineering, namely B.E.Computer Science Engineering, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.E. Mechanical Engineering, approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Madras. Accommodation

We are committed to provide quality accommodation for over 1000 students on campus and have separate hostels for boys and girls. The college and all the institutes have hostels within the campus for the convenience of students. Healthy meals are served in the dining halls. Fully furnished air-conditioned rooms are also available. Residents can opt for vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Indian and continental mess.

Digital Library

Every institute run by Hindustan has well equipped libraries with many technical books, a large number of Indian and foreign technical journals and an excellent collection of light reading material. The library also has a large collection of video cassettes and CDs of technical and management subjects for the use of staff and students. Online access system is available in libraries.

Infrastructure

The college is well planned and aesthetically designed by leading architects and is also beautifully landscaped to house academic blocks, state-of-the-art workshops and laboratories. Computer labs are avilable to students and are configured with the latest Pentiums and wired to the internet through dedicated leased lines offering excellent connectivity for research, etc., Training on industrial software packages are also done in our labs. All the computers throughout our campus are connected through internet connectivity using HDSL technology.

Sports and Games

The institution has beautifully maintained playgrounds and facilities for basket ball, volleyball, cricket, tennis, horse riding, water sports and other games including an indoor badminton court and also table tennis and billiards. A well equipped gymnasium is also available for boys and girls.

Councelling Service & Students Support Services

Counseling services is offered by our institutions for students who have difficulty in coping with their courses, for those with personal problems and for those who are not able to enjoy college life.

Anna University Chennai

Anna University Chennai is a technological university in India. It was founded in January 2007 upon trifurcation of Anna University into three universities, namely, Anna University Chennai, Anna University Trichy and Anna University Coimbatore. The university is an accredited university with powers to grant affiliations to colleges and universities conducting graduate and post graduate, including diploma course, and is so recognized by the UGC.

It ranks 16th in India. Another notable fact is that this institution gives the highest percentage of reservation to backward sections of society (as high as 70 percent) .

Anna University Coimbatore Colleges
